Focus
Focus is an extremely important quality to have. As talked about in the lesson on Seriousness, it is absolutely essential for the time you spend in the workplace. Having the discipline to keep other aspects of your life from interfering with your job performance is one of the keys to success in the adult world.
Distractions, whether they are from your personal life, your environment, your habits or anywhere else, will always be a detriment to accomplishing your goals. When you are working, concentrate on the work. Don’t find excuses not to do so, you will certainly find those excuses if you look for them. One of the easiest ways the businesses can tell employees apart is by looking at how much sustained focus they bring to their jobs.
Remember that focus is equally important for all aspects of your life. The people around you deserve at the very least the same quality of attention that you bring to work. Everything in your world deserves the same level of basic respect.
